Our Story
The One Chinese BBQ has been a quiet fixture on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard for as long as Portlanders who know what they're looking for have been stopping by. No fanfare — just the kind of roasted meats that make a neighborhood into a community.
Every morning, our kitchen begins with whole ducks, pork shoulders, and chicken thighs, each rubbed with a blend of spices passed down through generations and roasted in a traditional honeycomb oven until the sugars caramelize and the skins crackle.
